Yesterday we calculated our BMI and our IBW. Just go to our BMI calculator, subtract your current weight from your IBW and you will have a number. That is the number of pounds that you want to target to lose, approximately. It's that easy.
Now, don't think of this number as an exact figure. It really doesn't matter if you lose that poundage or not. The purpose of knowing that number is that it gives us a target, and gives us a targeted weight loss goal. That is step 1. The second purpose of knowing that number is that it tells you what program to be on.
Ok so far? Let's say you need to lose 100 or more pounds. That guides us into one program, but what if you need to lose only 10 pounds? You may have a different body type and might want to be on a different program eventually. Why is that?
Well here's a MAGIC TIP - It's easier for the body to lose the first 100 pounds than it is to lose the last 10!
So that's good news if you have a lot of weight to lose. But there is something I want you to keep in mind:
Magic Tip: No matter how much weight you want to lose ... IT IS BETTER TO LOSE WEIGHT SLOWLY!
Why?.. because it's healthier and safer, but most important ... it's EASIER for the body to KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF if you lose it slowly. We don't want our weight to go up and down, and up and down like a yo-yo!
Magic Tip: YO-YO FAD DIETS ARE BAD (but you knew that ...)
At this point, it's probably best to forget all you have ever read about dieting and diets, it's probably very confusing, and most likely WRONG! So forget all those other diets for now, we'll talk about them later on. You're going to learn the Magic Way" to weight loss.

This doesn't have to be fancy, just a piece of paper, but we have one available for you if you want to print it out.
